I know we all are a little… shall we say "concerned" about Ray Allen's shooting lately. The Celtics, however, don't seem to be too worried:
Paul Pierce: "I really liked the way he came out yesterday. He was real aggressive from the start. He knocked down some shots. … He was also huge for us defensively and made some keys down the stretch – a nice penetration and kick to Rajon (Rondo) for the 3. I thought he really picked up his play yesterday. Even though the numbers didn’t really say it, I was happy with the way he excerted himself. I hope you continue to see Ray get better and better as the series goes on.”
Doc Rivers: “You could see him getting more looks and getting more confident. If he’s making them, or he’s not, he scares the hell out of the other team when he’s out there. They are not going to leave Ray Allen."
I'll just say this about Ray: I thought he played pretty well in game 1. He drove and he didn't JUST stand there and shoot. But the shots he took looked as bad as ever. Its clearly in his head.
Cool thing for me and Chuck as Emerson Grads… the Pistons are using the Emerson gymnasium as their practice facility while in Boston. That matters to no one but me and Chuck… but we own the blog… so there.
