I decided to take a little look back here, and re-draft the 2012 NFL draft. This has been known as a draft that was a quarterback heavy class. Let’s see how it all panned out.
1. Indianapolis Colts- Andrew Luck QB Stanford
– It is still a no brainier in my opinion, he is one of the smartest and always well prepare QB’s in the league.
2. Washington Redskins- Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin
– It was a hard decision to not put him at number one. He makes plays look so easy when he rolls out of the pocket, even with his small stature.
3. Cleveland Browns: Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A&M
– I have seen Ryan take alot of good steps in the past few weeks. He seems to have the ability to lead a team down the field under any circumstances. This kid will easily be a 10 to 12 year veteran.
4. Minnesota Vikings: Nick Foles QB Arizona
– Say what you want but I believe Foles fits the Vikings offense better than Robert Griffin would have. I love Foles’ game, plays the QB position like it’s supposed to be played.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Robert Griffin III Baylor
– This is called putting fans in the seats. The Jaguars need a quarterback and fans in the seats; Robert Griffin does that.
6. Dallas Cowboys: Matt Kalil OL USC
– Cowboys originally picked Morris Claiborne, that still wouldn’t be an awful pick. I just feel the need at offensive line is much greater.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Luke Kuechly ILB Boston College
– Remember if the Bucs take Kuechly they don’t have David, that is how I am doing it. Luke is a physical beast, he plays the game like a more intense Patrick Willis. Kuechly would fit in any team.
8. Miami Dolphins: Doug Martin RB Boise State
– With no big time quarterbacks left on the board, they could take another offensive weapon in Martin. Doug Martin had a rough go of it in the 2o13 season, but he showed to be one of the best in the 2012 season.
9. Carolina Panthers: Kendall Wright WR Baylor
– Imagine having Mr. Wright next to Steve Smith. I think the Panthers would have three elite weapons in Olsen,Smith, and Wright. It would be very hard to stop.
10. Buffalo Bills: Morris Claiborne CB LSU
– They originally took Gilmore, and I think the need at cornerback has not changed and they would still go with that position.
11. Kansas City Chiefs: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina
12. Philadelphia Eagles: Mark Barron S Alabama
13. Arizona Cardinals: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
14. St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State
15. Seattle Seahawks: Chandler Jones DE Syracuse
16. New York Jets: Trent Richardson RB Alabama
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Harrison Smith S Notre Dame
18. San Diego Chargers: Fletcher Cox DL Mississippi State
19. Chicago Bears: Lavonte David LB Nebraska
20. Tennessee Titans: Kirk Cousins QB Michigan State
21: New England Patriots: Coby Fleener TE Stanford
22: Cleveland Browns: Bobby Wagner LB Utah State
23: Detroit Lions: Riley Reiff OT Iowa
24: Pittsburgh Steelers: David Decastro OG Stanford
25: New England Patriots: Shea McClellin DE Boise State
26. Houston Texans: Brock Osweiler QB Arizona State
27. Cincinnati Bengals: Dre’ Kirpatrick CB Alabama
28. Green Bay Packers: Quinton Coples LB North Carolina
29: Minnesota Vikings: Dontari Poe DT Memphis
30: San Francisco 49ers: Stephen Gilmore CB South Carolina
31: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Robert Turbin RB Utah State
32: New York Giants: Kevin Zietler G Wisconsin
