Reader Poll-Which do you prefer: NFL Overtime, NCAA overtime, or Bucstop.com overtime?

Ok your going to say what the heck is Bucstop.com overtime, I will get to that. Its bad enough the initials for this site are BS.com, but my idea is definitely NOT BS. Traditional NFL Overtime is sudden death, the first team to score in the overtime period, no matter what kind of score it is, ends the game. The exception to this is the new Playoff format where a FG by a team requires the other team to answer. In other words, if you score a fg, the game is not over, the other team gets the ball one more time. That sounds even more unfair to me the more I say it. The NCAA College overtime rules are simpler, a coin toss is done and the winner gets to choose to receive or kick off. Kicking off is usually accepted by the winner as youll have the option of knowing what your required to do on 4th down to move on. The ball is placed at the 25 yard line, instantly in FG range. 4 down markers work the same way as normal. If you have the ball first, and you stall, you must decide to either kick the FG or go for it on 4th down. If you go for it and dont make it, your opponent will get the ball at the 25 and can win with a FG. With a TD, you can go for a 1 or 2 point conversion. That option goes away after the 2nd round, where you MUST go for 2 point conversions. Scoring of the game follows all the overtime scores. Example, final score at the end of regulation is 3-3. Florida st scores a TD with 1Pt Conversion. Georgia Tech does the same. Score is now 10-10. next round FL State scores a FG, but G-tech scores a TD, no conversion needed. final score is 16-13 Georgia tech. Now, the BUCSTOP.COM overtime idea! I propose the college NCAA type of overtime, but scoring must be kept differently, because in the NFL, you have tie breakers, player incentives, all based around scoring. So I propose only the final difference be recorded, all other scores result in a ‘Do-over’ in overtime. Example.. Tampa Bay and Atlanta play to a 10-10 tie. First Overtime Tampa Bay scores on a Blount TD with Barth Kick. Atlanta answers with a TD and kick. OT Round 1 is a draw, move on to round 2. Round 2 Freeman hits Williams for a TD, Barth Kick. Atlanta does the same, and kicks the PAT. Round 2 is a draw, move on to 3. Round 3 Freeman hits Williams again, but is forced to try a 2 point conversion. Freeman hits Winslow for a successful 2 pointer. Atlanta scores a TD, but fails on the conversion. Therefore the 3rd OT periods results are added to the regular results, nothing else is added as it was a wash. Final score Tampa Bay 18 Atlanta 16. In the NCAA result above, applying my rules to that, the final score would have been 9-6 Georgia Tech. This way you dont have teams with bloated statistics because they went into too many overtime games, the owners wont protest because players would reach incentives earlier than normal with bloated overtime TDs.
