Yes, LeBron James “played” in this game, but his line of 26 minutes played, 5-14 fg (0-5 3 pt) was indicative of this night for Cleveland.
They were like Red in The Shawshank redemption. They didn’t give a shit tonight. It was obvious from the get go.
I dunno.. Maybe LeBron thought just stepping onto the court would have the Celtics shitting themselves. They didn’t though. And neither LeBron nor Kevin Love saw the floor in the 4th. (Kyrie Irving missed this game with a hip injury).
The Celtics, for their part, took early advantage of this game, but were threatened late in the second quarter as Mike Miller went bonkers from behind the arc. It carried into the 3rd quarter when the Cavs came storming back and had an opportunity to take a lead.
They didn’t though, and the Celtics held on to win 99-90.
The Green:
The Marcus Smart/Avery Bradley combo combined for 34 points on 14-22 fg.
Evan Turner only shot 2-8 tonight, but he had 13 assists and 6 rebounds, so back off.
The Gross:
While the Celtics starters hit 27-47 on the night, the bench hit 11-37, a reversal of recent fortunes.

The Grid:
- Indiana 107 – Detroit 103
- Atlanta 104 – Charlotte 80
- Brooklyn 117 – Washington 80
This means the Celtics stay in 7th with Brooklyn in 8th and Indiana a game behind. Miami now falls 2 games behind 8th with 3 games left. The Hornets are done. It’s looking really good for a playoff spot, but the Celtics need to keep on winning. 2 losses with 2 Indy wins and the C’s are out… so lots of work still left to do.
