Boston got 23 points from Isaiah Thomas, who put the team on his back during crunch time, and beat Indiana 105-99.
The C’s simply fought harder than Indy tonight, something that’s been lacking of late. The Pacers were coming off of a tough OT loss at the hands of Sixers on Friday, and the C’s put the pedal to the metal late to finish them off. Avery Bradley had a key steal with 1:02 left in the game that put Boston on top 101-94 and also took the wind out of the Pacers’ sails. A good road win on the second night of a btb for the Celtics.
Terry Rozier and James Young were both efficient contributors off the bench this evening. The duo tallied 23 points on 9 of 15 shooting, each hitting a couple of treys.
Jeff Teague led Indiana with 20 points.
Boston is off tomorrow and returns to action on Monday in New Orleans. The struggling (to put it lightly) Pelicans could be just what Boston needs to roll off their 3rd win in a row.
The Green:
- IT led Boston with 23 points as mentioned above, 12 of which came in the 4th quarter
- Despite struggling a bit from the field, Avery Bradley had a solid stat line: 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists & 2 steals
- The Celts’ starting front court of KO & Amir combined for 30 points, 15 boards, 7 dimes & 2 blocks
- Boston won the battle of the boards 47-40
The Gross:
- Celts shot 32% from three-not horrible, but this continues to be an issue
The Greenlights:
The Grid:
- Celts and Indiana both had 14 turnovers
