Jae Crowder’s corner fadeaway with 0.8 seconds remaining propelled the Celtics past the Raptors, 95-93, and into a 1st round playoff match-up with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
How did the Celts manage to win this game while shooting so poorly (38% FG, 22% 3 FG)? A pinch of heart and hustle with a dash of grit and balls.
Evan Turner (14 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 7 TOs) continues to make clutch plays. His jumper with 35 seconds remaining put Boston up 91-89 and his hustle/offensive rebound/assist combo resulted in a Tyler Zeller lay-up that put Boston up 93-91 with 14 seconds left.
Green
Marcus Smart’s stat line (9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal) isn’t indicative of the impact the kid had on this game. Pure hustle tonight.
Gross
Kelly Olynyk had 3 points in 13 minutes.
Avery Bradley left the game in the 3rd quarter with a bruised quad and did not return. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious.
