The big story in tonight’s 107 – 100 win over the Bulls is Jae Crowder’s ankle injury. Crowder left the game in the 2nd quarter after rolling his left ankle. In post game presser, Brad Stevens said Crowder would be out at least a week.

The Celtics started hot. They dropped 6 triples in the first quarter and led 36-25. Chicago helped by turning the ball over 6 times.

The 3rd quarter belonged to Amir Johnson. Yes, Amir Johnson. The big dog erupted for 16 points while going 4-4 from THREE. If you don’t believe me, check the highlights below.

The Celtics stretched the lead to 16 in the 4th quarter, only to see Chicago tie the game at 100 with 2 minutes remaining. Collapse? Hell, no. Clutch drives by Thomas (23 points, 10 assists) and Smart helped the Cs closed out Chicago for the win.

How’s this for a stat line: 23 points, 9-11 FG, 4-4 3 FGs, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. How many guys would you guess before you got to Amir Johnson? Just an incredible performance.
