Recap: I’m ready for the season to end

Pressey

Pressey

The Knicks dominated the Celtics from the opening tip tonight and finished with a 116-92 victory. I watched this entire game under some type of disinterested haze. I’m ready for this miserable season to end and would be fine with the Celtics losing out. There is nothing left to prove.

Rajon Rondo sat this game out (soreness), while the Knicks were without Tyson Chandler, Amar’e Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani.

At 22-43, the Celtics are tied with 2 teams (Utah*, Lakers) for the 4th worst record in the league. We have 17 games to go.

The Green

Jeff Green scored 17 (6-8 FG) of his 27 points in the 3rd quarter. He matched the Knicks output for the quarter.

The Gross

The Celtics surrendered 68 points in the 1st half. The Knicks made a ton of threes.

The mighty Cole Aldrich (12 points, 10 rebounds) dominated the Celtics bigs and netted the only double-double in this game.

The Grid:

  • Jerryd Bayless was a team low -25
  • Paul Pressey had 9 points, 5 assists, 3 TOs in his 6th start
  • Kelly Olynyk was 0-1 from 3. Maybe in a few years we’ll look back and laugh about the season KO thought he was a three point shooter.
