Recap: Johnson put-back snuffs out Celtics 4th quarter rally

Our gritty, gutty Celtics rallied from a 10-point 4th quarter deficit only to lose on an  Amir Johnson put-back with 7 seconds remaining. The Raptors won 105-103 and clinched a playoff berth.

As the Celtics whittled away the Raptors lead in the final quarter, I could only think of one thing: a loss means more than a win. I hate feeling this way.

DeMar DeRozan torched the C’s for 30 points, but I’m still not a fan of this kid’s game. He throws up a lot of junk. He just happened to have a horseshoe in his shorts tonight.

Green

Jerryd Bayless scored 14 of his team-high 20 points in the 4th quarter. His hot shooting sparked the Celtics’ rally from a 10 point deficit.

Gross

The Celtics offered very little resistance in the paint. They gave up 52 points in the paint including Johnson’s game winner. Am I the only one who thinks Johnson got away with a push-off on Avery Bradley?

Jared Sullinger struggled offensively (11 points, 4-12 shooting).
