Paul Pierce was not pleased with his peformance versus the Hornets and it was the Raptors who paid the price.
Pierce had 30 points (10-15 FG), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and just 1 turnover. It was his vicious 4th quarter throw-down dunk that sparked the late Celtics rally which finished off the Raptors.
Glen Davis didn't shoot particularly well (6-14 FG) but he filled up the box score – 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.
The Celtics cranked up the intensity over the final 5 minutes. There was a noticeable difference in Shaq's play. He grabbed 3 boards and blocked 2 shots during the span.
Playing for the first time in two weeks, Rajon Rondo looked… rusty – 4 points, 8 assists and 5 TOs. He appeared gimpy after Linas Kleiza stepped on his injured left ankle in the 3rd quarter. While it's highly unlikely Kleiza's move was intentional, like Tommy, I was suspicious of the play.
I liked the energy from Jermaine O'Neal (6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks).
What didn't I like? The rebounding (Tor 49-37) and points in the paint (Tor 42-32).
