It’s over. The series. This season. And hopes that Paul Pierce and KG will contend for another championship.

The Knicks beat on the Celtics all night and won Game 3, 90-76. It wasn’t that close.

I know the Celtics have been an offensively challenged basketball team for years, and things took a turn for the worse when Rajon Rondo tore his ACL, but when did they lose all fundamental skills?

Like the previous two games in this series, this one was riddled with horrible entry passes, fumbled catches and blown lay-ups. One might say the Celtics are playing like a poorly coached team. I’m not saying they are poorly coached… it’s just an observation.

Paul Pierce (17 points, 6-15 FG) looked 45 years old. He and Jeff Green (a quiet 21 points, 9 rebounds) combined for 10 turnovers. Avery Bradley (2 points in 33 minutes) looked like a lost little puppy.

Doc Rivers shook up his starting line-up by starting Jason Terry (14 points) in place of Brandon Bass (3 points). A noble effort but it had zero impact.

Here’s video (courtesy CBS Sports) of the J.R. Smith throwing an elbow at Jason Terry’s head. Just a dirty play.

No team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the NBA playoffs.
