John Lackey’s struggles continued with another poor outing yesterday. The Jays jumped on him early and often and chased him from the game in the third after he had given up seven runs on eleven hits. Lackey’s ERA is now 7.47. The Red Sox rallied in the fifth and again in the eighth but came up two runs short. Ellsbury had four hits in the game including a triple. David Ortiz broke his slump with a bloop hit. Kevin Youkilis had to leave the game after being hit by a pitch in the head. He has a headache and will be reevaluated today.
