The Red Sox picked up right where they left off last night by walking in a run in the second. John Lackey struggled with command early and gave up five runs in the first four innings before settling down. Two runs would have been enough for the Tigers as the bats did not come to life for Boston in this one. Drew, Hall, Ortiz, Lowell, and Tek all went 0-fer in the game. The only bright spots were Hermida driving in a run with a double and Tek throwing out Johnny Damon when he was attempting a steal.
The Red Sox now head to the Bronx for the first time this year for a short two game series with the Yankees.
