Expectations were high enough for many to pick the Red Sox to be American League champs in 2011. One bad series and suddenly the bandwagon has a plethora of empty seats. Take the Chicago Tribune’s Phil Rogers who listed the Sox in the top spot to start the season and has now dropped them to NINTH! (behind the Jays).
Luckily MLB is not college football and polls don’t matter.
