The Boston Red Sox have fired first base coach Ron Johnson according to a report from Joe McDonald of ESPN Boston. It is normal for most coaches to be dismissed when a manager leaves so the new manager can bring in their own people. No word yet on the status of bench coach DeMarlo Hale (other than not making the short list of managerial candidates) or third base coach Tim Bogar.
