The Red Sox have cut seven players from their major league roster. Clay Mortenson, Junichi Tazawa and Luis Expositio have all been optioned to Pawtucket. Brandon Duckworth, Jessee Carlson, Max St. Pierre and Alex Hassan have all been reassigned to minor league camp. The team will still have to cut six more players from the major league roster before the start of the regular season.
