As the dust from the collapse begins to settle the Red Sox have started the search for a new skipper. John Heyman of SI has a new post up with a few tidbits about the search, here’s the highlights:
- Bobby Valentine is not going to be considered.
- Neither is Joe Torre
- Theo has two surprise candidates, both without major league managerial experience.
Nick Cafardo of the Globe has these three current managers on the list of possible candidates:
- Bruce Bochy (Giants)
- Eric Wedge (Mariners)
- Tony LaRussa (Cardinals)
