BOSTON (July 19, 2012) – Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett will trade in his cleats for bowling shoes on Monday, August 20 as he throws strikes for charity during the sixth-annual Beckett Bowl at Jillian’s Lucky Strike Lanes in Boston. Joining the Red Sox ace will be an all-star line-up of athletes and celebrities helping to raise funds for Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals. The evening includes a celebrity bowling tournament with live and silent auctions, followed by the Beckett Bowl 10 Man Jam, presented by WKLB at the House of Blues Boston.
Beckett Bowl will once again feature an exciting line-up of athletes and celebrities joining local corporations and individuals who will bowl to raise funds for children in need. The roster of VIPs will include current and past Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, and New England Revolution players, along with actors, comedians, musicians and celebrity chefs with New England ties. Local corporations and philanthropic individuals are invited to sponsor four-person bowling teams for the event.

Following the live auction and awards ceremony, guests will move to House of Blues Boston for the Beckett Bowl 10 Man Jam concert, a 21+ event featuring performances by country musicians Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue, and many more (artists subject to change).
A $250 General Admission ticket grants access to watch the action at Beckett Bowl with complimentary food and beverage, as well as a ticket to the Beckett Bowl 10 Man Jam concert.
