The Red Sox took an early lead and steadily built upon it in their defeat of Baltimore tonight. The Red Sox offense looked very good tonight with 15 hits. Jacoby jumpstarted things with a single in the first, he then stole second ,advanced to third on a throwing error, and scored on a sac fly. Many Sox fans are probobly asking who is that power hitting catcher and what has he done with Jason Varitek? The captian went yard for the second consecutive game. Youk continued his MVP quest going 3-5 on the night with 3 RBI’s. Dice-K pitched one of his typical games; high pitch count, some jams with masterful escapes, an early exit, and another W. The bullpen was good tonight, going 4 scoreless innings and allowing just 3 hits. With the bad news from Beckett this was a good win for the Red Sox.
