The Red Sox comb the world for new talent and believe they have found some with Boss Moanaroa, a 16 year old baseball player from Australia. There have been other Aussies that have made it to the bigs, perhaps the most well known was Yankee pitcher Graeme Lloyd, but Moanaroa is the first Maori to sign in the U.S. Red Sox scout Jon Debble said the following about Moanaroa: “The scariest thing about Boss is the fact he’s never lifted a weight in his life. He’s big, strong and has a great swing. The balls really bounce off the bat for him. I think he’ll be really exciting.”
