The last month of the regular season is upon us and the Red Sox have shown that they are ready to play well into next month. Paul Byrd has proven to be a great pickup for Boston after getting another win tonight against Baltimore. He went 7 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and was efficient as always with just one walk. Tek and Bailey went yard for the Red Sox. MVP candidate Dustin Pedroia was 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and broke Del Pratt’s Red Sox record of for hits by a second baseman with his 184th hit this season.
