The Red Sox are going to sign relief pitcher Dan Wheeler according to Gordon Edes. Theo’s offseason work is just about done and it seems like Red Sox fans are getting everything they want for Christmas.
Wheeler has had an ERA around 3.30 and batters have an average of .196 against him for the last three seasons.
UPDATE: The deal is $3 million for one year.
