It is finally coming true. The Boston Red Sox will acquire Gonzalez if he passes a physical. Boston will be sending some great talent to San Diego including Casey Kelly and Anthony Rizzo plus others.
Gonzalez is averaging 30 home runs and 100 RBIs per year over the last five seasons. He also drew 119 walks in 2009 and 93 last season.
With Gonzalez on the Red Sox, Youk will shift back to third base and Beltre will not be needed. Theo will now focus on Werth or Crawford to complete the puzzle.
