Red Sox Trade Kotsay for Brian Anderson

From the Press Release:

The Red Sox today acquired outfielder Brian Anderson from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for outfielder Mark Kotsay. Anderson will be optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket. Anderson, 27, batted .238 (44-for-185) with two home runs and 13 RBI in 65 games for the White Sox this season. He made 61 appearances in center field (49 starts) and six in right (two starts) before being optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on July 20. The right-handed hitter reached base safely in nine of his 11 games for the Knights, going 12-for-43 (.279) with two homers and five RBI.
