John Lackey was traded today to the Cardinals for outfielder/first baseman Allen Craig and right-handed pitcher Joe Kelly. The Sox also sent minor league left-handed pitcher Corey Littrell and cash to St. Louis in the deal.
The Red Sox rotation will now have some big holes with Lester and Lackey gone.
