Games this week:
- Minnesota: 13 pts (6-12 fg), 15 asst, 3 stl, 2 reb
- Indiana: 15 pts (5-14 fg), 9 asst, 6 stl, 1 reb
- @Orlando: 17 pts (7-18 fg), 8 asst, 2 stl, 13 reb
The amazing thing about Rondo's stat lines this week is that each has one huge number that stands out. 15 assists vs. Minnesota… 6 steals vs Indiana… 13 rebounds in Orlando. But most impressive was the way he took charge in yesterday's game. You could see a different kind of Rondo out there. It was very much like his play in the Chicago series. He knew that without Paul Pierce, he had to step up and pick up some of the slack. And he did it against a dominant shot blocker… the type of player that Rondo often shies away from in the paint. It was this aggressive, attacking style that made him the easy choice for player of the week.
