Former Washington Redskins linebacker Ken Harvey has a message for fans everywhere. “We don’t serve teens,” says Harvey, Redskins Director of Responsibility. That’s an important message to the community as New Year celebrations approach.
Harvey is delivering the message of responsible drinking in union with Redskins partner Diageo that has made its resources available to Harvey. Both discourage underage drinking.
To reinforce the we don’t serve teens campaign, Harvey will spend Sunday at the Giants game checking IDs at the Club level at FedEx Field.
“We just want to encourage people to be responsible,” says Harvey. “If you are going to indulge, have fun, but designate a driver and be proactive against underage drinking.”
Ken Harvey played the Redskins from the 1994 through 1998 seasons. He was a four time Pro Bowler and was named one of the 70 Greatest Redskins in 2002.
Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks business with brands such as Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal and Smirnoff, has made its global resources available to Ken Harvey by offering him access to world-class independent professionals that will assist him as he works across the Redskins organization. Diageo has been a sponsor of the Washington Redskins since 2002.
Ken Harvey contacted Redskins Hog Heaven to ask that we spread the work about teen drinking, which we are only too glad to do. He was kind enough to answer our questions about the Washington Redskins defense. See the related story London Fletcher Perfect for the New Redskins.
