Redskins tickets 41% below season average for Sunday’s game vs Titans

Kirk Cousins hasn’t been able to win games in the wake of a Robert Griffin III injury and time is running out for both him and the Washington Redskins. Head coach Jay Gruden has already stated that RG3 will return as the starter once healthy, which leaves Cousins as a lame duck for the next few weeks.

Heading into Week 7, Cousins may have one more chance to prove he’s the man for the job under center, while a 1-5 Washington team desperately searches for answers. The hope is that the answer is a win this week, as Washington hosts the Tennessee Titans in a very winnable home game.

With their backs against the wall and a beatable opponent at home, Redskins vs Titans tickets come in with killer value this week, with a secondary market average price of $81.33 with just a $9 get-in price. The average is 41% below the season average for Redskins tickets at FedEx Field.

While the value is nothing to sniff at, Redskins fans won’t be pleased with simply a cheap home game. They’ll want to see a win. Against a shaky 2-4 Tennessee team, that’s more than possible – if not likely.

In fact, after imploding two weeks ago, Kirk Cousins calmed down last week against the Seattle Seahawks and actually played a decent game. With a much better matchup against an inconsistent Titans pass defense, Cousins could have another solid game and guide the Redskins to a much needed win. Cousins will obviously factor into this one, but the key may actually reside in Washington’s rushing attack. They were never able to get Alfred Morris going last week, while the Titans have a very suspect run defense. Getting Morris going and establishing the ground game will be huge in trying to control this contest.

On the other side, Tennessee probably won’t find much success on the ground, as Washington’s elite run defense has punished the opposition all season. The ‘Skins have been abysmal against the pass, though, which could offer up big plays for Tennessee through the air. That’s potentially playing right into Washington’s hand, however, as the Redskins are unlikely to be afraid of Jake Locker or Charlie Whitehurst.
