Each week we will be looking at different free agents that the Minnesota Vikings have on the roster. We will look at their strengths, weakness, and how valuable they are to the team. This week will be focusing on:
FB Zach Line:
Zach Line is not a house hold name. He didn’t dominate sports headlines last season with the Vikings, and he probably won’t again if he comes back. But what he does best is play football, and at the end of the day, that’s really all that matters to Line.
He has proven that he is capable of being one of the best amongst the team and even though Line’s role is limited on the Vikings offense, he plays that limited role well.
Last season Line played all 16 regular season games. He rushed the ball six times for three first downs and two touchdowns, he caught six of his nine targets in the passing game, converting for 95 yards and a touchdown.
If Line resigns he would more than likely stay in his fullback position and on special teams. As of right now the Vikings have placed him on tender. Which means the Vikings have the right to first refusal if Line decides to sign elsewhere.
Verdict: Re-sign
