Anyone with pro hoops aspirations can try to chase their dreams next weekend in Sacramento.  The Reno Bighorns, the Sacramento Kings’ D-League affiliate, are holding open tryouts next Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Kings’ practice facility.

The tryouts will be held from 12 pm to 6 pm in Natomas.  Hopefuls can secure their spot early by contacting the Bighorns office and paying a $150 registration fee.  You can also show up at the door, but will have to pay a $200 fee for the chance to showcase yourself before Bighorns brass.  All payments are non-refundable.

The Bighorns have had success finding talent through their open tryouts.  Last year, four players made the roster by participating, including guards Ra’Shad James and K.C. Rivers.  James caught the attention of the Sacramento Kings and joined their summer league team in Las Vegas, while Rivers went on to sign a contract with overseas powerhouse Real Madrid.

The Bighorns have plenty of roster spots open for the 2014-15 D-League season.  As of today, Reno has only two returning players from last year’s team.

For more information or questions, you can reach the Bighorns front office at (775) 853-8220.
