Earlier this week there was much talk about commitment No. 5 for the Wisconsin Badgers, as safety Cycoby Burch tweeted out his commitment to the University of Wisconsin football program.
However, sources and the reporting of Evan Flood of our recruiting partners at Badger247 later indicated that Burch still needed to jump over a few hurdles before UW could take his commitment.
Consider those hurdles too high to get over apparently, as Flood reported earlier on Friday that Burch is no longer a take for the Badgers.
That leaves Wisconsin with three spots for safeties and Burch back to the drawing board. While the official reasons for UW backing off aren’t being made public, sources are saying there is nothing on the legal side of things.
One of the hurdles Burch needed to jump over was giving a copy of his transcript to UW, and apparently that was the one that tripped him up.
@CollegeFBallinf Wisconsin is not able to accept a commitment.
