It’s always fascinating to learn about all of the injuries a team played through during the playoffs. The Blues had some injuries, but nothing too severe or noteworthy emerged during the exit interviews outside of a thumb injury to Scottie Upshall. However, a new report suggests that Alexander Steen played through a pretty severe shoulder injury.
Alexander Steen played in playoffs with a severely injured shoulder…could require surgery #stlblues

Nothing has been confirmed by the team and there’s no word on what the actual injury might be. It’s kind of strange nothing was said during the exit interviews especially if it’s an injury which may require surgery this summer.
As the playoffs wore on, Steen’s presence became less and less of a factor. The Sharks were originally credited for shutting down Steen, but now it sounds like his shoulder may have been a big factor too.
