After much speculation, Wisconsin finally may have it's man to replace Thomas Hammock as running backs coach. Footballscoop.com is reporting that sources confirm Marshall running backs coach Thomas Brown will be the new running backs coach at UW.

Footballscoop.com also reports that Andersen and the staff are genuinely excited about the hire.
I can tell you, the guys in Madison are very excited to have Thomas Brown joining the staff. Think he has a long future in coaching ahead.

According to Brown's bio on the Marshall website, Brown has risen quickly in the coaching ranks. He spent one year on the strength and conditioning staff at Georgia (2011), and went on to spend one year each at Chattanooga and Marshall.
If there was any doubt about Andersen's seriousness about getting in to the state of Georgia for recruiting, Brown's hire should put that to rest. Brown, is a former Georgia Bulldog player, and was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs—finishing fifth in career rushing yards in Georgia history.
UW won't be able to officially announce the hire until Monday, per state hiring law, but expect that announcement to come sooner than later.
