For the Wolves, if they can attract a trade partner for Andrew Wiggins, do it. For the most part, Wiggins is mediocre. One of the most overrated players I have seen in recent years. He was basically looked at as a prodigy in high school and the next dominant NBA player. In reality, he scores you an inefficient 17 points per game and brings you nothing else.
Wiggins and the Wolves just agreed to an extension in October for 5 more years at $146.5M total. That’s a pretty expensive brick machine in my book. You can even acquire one for a one time payment of $500,000 and that’s it! Trading KAT and keeping Wiggins would be one of the dumbest things that the Wolves could possibly do. If the Wolves can attract a team like the Heat, and get someone like James Johnson and a pick back i’d do that in a heartbeat. Pretty easy to find scoring guards who shooting 42% in today’s league.
