The Baylor Bears, who have an explosive offense this season, leading the nation in points per game with 51, are currently 9-2 and 6-2 in the Big 12 conference. The Bears will finish the regular season this Saturday against the Texas Longhorns, but for junior wide receiver Corey Coleman, Baylor’s bowl game could be the final game of his collegiate career.
According to Rand Getlin of NFL.com, Coleman is strongly considering entering the 2016 NFL Draft. This season, the wide receiver out of Richardson, Texas has had a breakout season with 67 receptions for 1,314 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. Coleman is ranked sixth in the country in receiving yards and leads all receivers in touchdowns.

As Getlin points out, he is a highly coveted prospect that could be drafted in the first round. In Dane Brugler’s latest mock draft, he has the Cincinnati Bengals taking Coleman with the 29th overall pick. Coleman’s explosive season even had him in the Heisman conversation for a while, despite Baylor having to use three quarterbacks, as both Seth Russell and Jarrett Stidham suffered injuries.
Even though, Coleman’s last three games against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and TCU were not his best, he still has had a great season. He will get two more chances this season to show NFL scouts and general managers what he brings to the table.
