We’re four days into the offseason. What else did you expect?
Former Tulsa World journalist (now retired) and avid follower of the Big 12 Conference, Dave Sittler, tweeted on Friday afternoon some potential ground-breaking news, if in fact his information proves to be true.
Sittler reported that if the Big 12 were to decide to expand, Cincinnati and UConn would be the first two candidates to receive an invitation. Houston, UCF, USF, Memphis, Tulane, and BYU would then follow.
Big 12's apparent current pecking order: Cincy, UConn, Houston, UCF, USF, Memphis, Tulane, BYU. Even though UConn seems closer to Iceland.

Forget about Cincinnati and UConn; can you imagine a world where Tulane is annually competing against Big 12 competition in both football and basketball? Neither can we, but hey, this is America.
