It’s that time of the year, no not Christmas but NBA trade rumors. Rumors are flying around especially around the Philadelphia 76ers, specifically Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes, and Thaddeus Young.
Well this time around it is involving Evan Turner and Dion Waiters. According to sources that talked to Bleacher Report, the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers are the top suitors for Waiters’ services.
Now personally do I see the Sixers making a trade for Dion Waiters in exchange for Evan Turner no not really, but it is intriguing to look at. Both players can score but Waiters is arrogant to a point. Do you really want Waiters in the same backcourt with Michael Carter-Williams? I’m not too sure of that.
Remember Waiters is from the Philadelphia area and that is big to him according to a source. According to a report from B/R’s Jared Zwerling, the source close to Waiters said:
he “wants out” of Cleveland and “prefers to go to Philly because he thinks he’d be the best player on the team. That’s his mindset.”
Now I don’t see why Waiters’ mindset would be that since Michael Carter-Williams is currently the best player on the Sixers. But it’s always good to dream right? Expect to see trade rumors flying around with these players’ names in them until the February deadline.
