The international website TuBasket.com reports that the Celtics are one of several NBA teams with interest in Brazilian center Vitor Faverani.
The 25-year old Faverini (6-11, 260 lbs) has been playing in Spain. He comes with a super cool nickname, “El Hombre Indestructible.”
Faverini recently worked out for San Antonio. The Knicks and Wizards may also be interested in his services.
I couldn’t find any recent scouting reports, but Draft Express once projected him to be Rasheed Wallace.
