We have some Celtics-related draft news by way of Bucks reporter Gery Woelfel:
It’s hardly a secret a slew of teams, including several lottery ones, are exploring potential trades. One team that is making a concerted effort to move into the lottery, league sources claim, is Boston. The Celtics are dangling their two No. 1 picks: Nos. 16 and 28.
Nothing truly new here, just another report reinforcing previous reports.
Are the Celtics trying to move up to nab Willy Cauley-Stein? If so, how high do they have to go?
Orlando (5th pick) needs a rim protector, but some argue the need for offense is greater. Sacramento (6th pick) has been a rumored trading partner with Boston.
Who knows what the hell Denver (7th) is doing. The Pistons (8th) certainly won’t draft a back-up for Andre Drummond. Charlotte (9) needs shooting help.
For the Celts to move up, it’s going to take more than just picks 16 and 28. Maybe 16 and a player.
