Kris Humphries impressed me with his work ethic and production (8.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 18 PER) last season but I don’t see a role for him next year.
The Celtics have 5 bigs locked in for next season: Jared Sullinger, Brandon Bass, Kelly Olynyk, Vitor Faverani and Joel Anthony.
It’s obvious we want Sully, Olynyk and Vitor to log as much court time as possible. One could argue that Bass deserves “showcase” minutes to enhance his deadline trade value. And Anthony is a “break glass in case of emergency” type guy.
Where would Hump play? And more importantly, why would he play? Unless Ainge pulls off a few deals in the coming weeks, we are bound for the lottery once again.
