Celtics have signed Marcus Smart.

I know, your first reaction is “yeah, so?”
But according to the CBA, newly signed draft picks can’t be traded for 30 days. So as Danny Ainge spins whatever magic he might be working on, it won’t involve Smart… at least… it won’t until a month from now.
The slotted rookie scale for a 6th pick is $2,736,100. But the Celtics have historically given the additional 20% to their top picks, meaning his salary is probably $3,283,320.
