According to multiple sources, Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey will declare for the NFL Draft. The 6 foot all purpose running back was a Heisman Trophy contender to begin the 2016 season but ran into stumbling blocks assisted by a stagnant offense. Despite these road blocks, McCaffrey still put up 1,596 yards rushing on a 6.3 yards per rush average and 13 touchdowns. McCaffrey is also dangerous catching the ball with 100 career receptions for 1,213 yards and 10 yards. To add to his skills list, McCaffrey can also return kicks and punts.
There is no doubt that Christian McCaffrey is a first round talent. Even with injuries, McCaffrey had three subpar games in a row against Washington, Washington State, and Colorado which he failed to record a touchdown. McCaffrey could go in the mid to late first round and would be a dynamic and impactful force on a team such as the New England Patriots.
