As soon as Thomas Brown moved back to his alma mater, the University of Georgia, the obvious name for head coach Paul Chryst to look to was free agent running backs coach John Settle.
Not only did Settle have vast experience coaching the position, but also coaches with Chryst at both Wisconsin and Pitt. Well, the assumed (and not so popular choice in recruiting circles) choice looks like the one Chryst is hiring.
According to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports, the Badgers are hiring Settle to replace Brown. The RB coach will come back to Wisconsin on Monday and officially begin his duties on Tuesday per Bartow’s report.
