Two NBA sources told the Globe that the Celtics will open their 2013-14 season against the Toronto Raptors. The official NBA schedule is set to be released tonight at 6 p.m.
Ouch.
You want a reality check? There it is.
In the Garnett era, the Celtics have opened against the Cavs (and LeBron James) twice, The Knicks (and Carmelo Anthony), and then Miami twice.
Now it’s a very non-marquee matchup against Toronto. If you’re out of town and you want to see the Celtics, you’d better splurge on League Pass or get good at finding pirated online links, because you won’t see them much on national TV.
