With Jacoby Ellsbury officially in the fold for the New York Yankees, it would appear that Curtis Granderson leaving the Bronx is all but a done deal.
And where might the 32-year-old All-Star end up? If you listen to former big leaguer Fernando Tatis…Queens.
Tatis, who spent three seasons with the New York Mets tweeted to his followers Wednesday night that the outfielder had met with the team and a deal is on the horizon.

It'd be pretty easy to dismiss Tatis and his claims, given he's not divulging sources or numbers, but one thing is indeed clear…Granderson is talking to the Mets. According to ESPN, the team took Granderson out to dinner this past weekend and the two sides met late Tuesday, discussing a possible three-year deal.
Sure, it's destined to be a far cry from what Ellsbury got, but all in all, it would likely be the biggest deal the team has made in general manager Sandy Alderson's four years at the helm.
