After talks failed again on Friday, Doc Rivers will no longer pursue the Clippers coaching job, league source tells Y!

Is this it? Is this REALLY IT???
Mark Murphy seems to think so.
The Docudrama has taken a new, and possibly fatal, turn.
A league source just told the Herald that negotiations between the Celtics and Clippers over the release of Doc Rivers from his contract have ended.
Though there is a slim chance that talks could resume for a third time, both sides appeared to acknowledge today that nothing can be gained.
“The Celtics’ price (for Rivers) was a first round pick, and the Clippers weren’t willing to do that,” said the source, who added that it remained unclear if the Celtics could have even scored a second round pick for their coach of the last nine years.
I’m not going to believe a goddamn thing until the Clippers hire a coach. There is a distinct possibility that this is all one, big, choreographed dance to drive an apparent final nail in the coffin in an effort to satisfy the league’s fears that this is a simultaneous, illegal trade of a player and coach.
We’ll get into what happens next when this officially dies. It’s dead for now.
For now.
