During an appearance on ESPN radio this morning, Chris Broussard dropped some insight (I use that term loosely) on Kevin Durant’s plans in free agency:

The more I talk to people around this situation, if I had to bet, if I was forced to pick a place, I would have to say Golden State. What I’m being told is Durant wants this decision this summer to be a long term decision. Wherever he goes, he will sign 1-and-1 contract with player option… but he wants this decision to be long term. He doesn’t want to go through this next year.

The thought of Durant replacing Harrison Barnes on the Warriors is downright frightening.

Broussard adds that Russell Westbrook’s looming free agency (and rumors he wants to play in Los Angeles) might be an obstacle in Durant returning to OKC.

Here’s hoping Durant doesn’t want to piggyback Steph Curry and Draymond Green to a title. Come to Boston and earn it in front of the best fans on the planet.
