In the first quarter of today’s game, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles left the game with an apparent shoulder injury as he was sacked and had his left shoulder driven into the ground.

Many wondered if he was going to come back in to play but right after the half, we heard that Foles would not return for the rest of the game. Then after the game was over, the prognosis that was going around is that Foles suffered a broken clavicle, which means he could be out for 4-6 weeks.

Now, according to Derrick Gunn of CSN Philly, a league source has confirmed that the Eagles quarterback does have a broken collarbone and will have a MRI tomorrow to determine how long he will be out.

In his limited playing time in today’s game, Foles threw for 124 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception. When Foles went out of the game, backup quarterback Mark Sanchez stepped in and helped lead the Eagles to a 31-21 victory.

Sanchez threw for 202 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. His first touchdown pass came on his first drive in the second quarter where he found rookie wide receiver Jordan Matthews for an 11 yard pitch and catch.

Without Foles for however long he is out, it is now up to Sanchez to lead the Eagles into the rest of November and December as the playoff push begins. Sanchez does have playoff experience as he led the New York Jets to the AFC Championship twice but just couldn’t get them over the top.
