Report: Edwards out; Fitzpatrick in

A change appears to be coming for the Buffalo Bills at quarterback.
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the Bills are expected to start Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback for Sunday’s game at Jacksonville.

Mind of Joe
This is a sign that Dick Jauron is completely desperate. It’s funny if you consider how Jauron fired Turk Schonert because he and Trent Edwards didn’t see eye to eye. So after bending over backwards to help Mr. Checkdown, Edwards is being sent to the bench. You think Turk is laughing somewhere?
This could also be a decision that is keeping Jauron from losing his players in the lockeroom. I’ve been seeing rumblings that a few of the Bills wideouts aren’t exactly thrilled with Trent Edwards. Remember, a couple weeks ago Lee Evans didn’t exactly give a glowing endorsement of Trent Edwards when talking about Fitzpatrick taking the starting job. Then came Sunday, when Terrell Owens and Josh Reed went off on the sideline because of a missed read by Edwards. We all know Jauron can’t handle the pressure of losing his locker room because he’s the Barney the Dinosaur of coaching. Everyone has to love him.
As far as my opinion goes, is there really a big drop off if it’s Fitzpatrick or Edwards or Todd Collins in there? Exactly, there isn’t. Both quarterbacks stink and it doesn’t matter who is in there at this point.
The sad thing is that Edwards didn’t really play a bad game until the 4th quarter. You always hear the saying that things happen in 3’s. Maybe, with Turk and Edwards losing their jobs, Jauron won’t be too far behind.
