Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News has a scoop that kind of jives with some of the other rumors floating out there lately:  The Celtics are looking to move Jeff Green.

The Atlanta Hawks, according to Lawrence, are interested.  However, it’s going to be interesting to see if the Celtics and Hawks can work out a deal between the two of them.  A Green for Carroll & Elton Brand ($4 million expiring deal) works.  Carroll has been playing pretty well lately, and he makes $2.5 million.  He’s not Jeff Green, but he’s not THAT far off.

There are other players that can be thrown in on both sides that could make a deal feasible, but I’m not 100% sure the focus should be on the Atlanta Hawks and what they can provide.  I think the focus is more that the Celtics are clearly trying to find a taker for Jeff Green.  Whether he’s sent to Atlanta or some other team, Danny Ainge is obviously making moving Green one of his priorities as the trade deadline approaches.

This will be something to watch over the next 11 days.  The odds of Jeff Green finishing this season in Boston just dropped by a bunch.  The odds of him finishing out the next two years of his deal seem slim.
